Junior Cross-Country Mountain Biking Lessons

Our experienced biking guide will teach the fundamentals of mountain biking while cruising together across beginner terrain. Lesson will cover skills including climbing, descending, speed control and flat section riding as well as safety fundamentals, all essential for the beginner XC rider. Participants must be comfortable riding a bike.

Cross-Country group lessons are for children ages 8-12.

  • Available for ages 8-12.
  • The lesson will progress as fast or as slow as the lowest ability level in the group.
  • Lessons are 2 hours in length. 
  • Lessons held Monday -Wednesday do not include a lift ticket. Participants will pedal to the trail with the group. 
  • Lessons held Thursday-Sunday will include a lift ticket. Participants will ride the chairlift, Quickdraw Express, to access the trails.

Participants must have:

  • A bicycle that is equipped with disc brakes.
  • A helmet. 
  • Rate does not include bike rental.

Booking your lesson:

  • Lessons are available daily from 9:30am-11:30am.
  • Advanced booking is recommended to guarantee availability. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability.
  • All junior bike lessons will begin and end in the base area outside the ticketing office.
  • If you need to rent a bike or other equipment, please call the Granby Ranch Rental Shop prior to making your reservation at 888.850.4615.
  • All participants must sign a liability waiver.

Junior Group Bike Lesson Rates:

  • Monday-Wednesday: $99
    (Does not include Lift Ticket, participants will pedal together to the trail.)
  • Thursday-Sunday: $119
    (Includes a Full-Day Bike Haul lift ticket)
