11.24.21 – New F&B Outlets

Our award-winning F&B team is adding a little more to their mix this winter. If you stopped by our Pass Party on the 20th you may have noticed our work in progress remodeling the first floor, to include the rentals hall and what was previously a small retail store. Beginning on December 11th, we’ll introduce guests to First Chair Cafe, our new premium coffee shop right at the main entrance where this latter retail space was. We’ll feature beans from local roasters plus lattes, cappuccinos, and even nitro brew. And while we’re still finalizing hiring, we’re hoping we’ll also have the capacity to deliver hand-rolled breakfast burritos and other small breakfast items. The wife and I will be spending some money here this winter, I expect.
We’ve also constructed a small pop-up outlet at the top of East Mountain. A little exercise in democracy with our managers yielded the name “The Dog House.” We’ll have a small menu of dogs and hot bites plus kid- and adult-friendly beverages. Our vert chasers are going to love our ski-up lane, too. While we’re not planning to open it midweek during non-holiday periods, it’ll be a great spot to stop by with the kiddos on the weekends and holidays.
Here’s a download on our other restaurants for the winter:
- Bluebird Bistro will largely retain its same menu with local, smoked meats and modern mountain options.
- On the second floor Slopeside room, we’ll have extensions of our Bluebird menu plus standard family fare and grab and go options. (There’s rumor our flattop will arrive in time for a cheesesteak station, too). We may vary the operations of these stations and pivot to more grab and go during non-holiday periods as we wrestle with staffing.
- In 8350, our Homeowner Lounge will feature coffee, tea, pastries and other continental breakfast items in the morning. There might even be some happy hours in there during holidays as well. (Homeowners – Look for more information through the GRC as we get closer to resort open).
We also have a full load of killer events coming this winter where the catering team can stretch their legs — five course meals, special cocktail parties and hors d’oeuvres, and even some staff appreciation dinners. It’ll be an interesting winter and we want to make sure we take care of the folks that make this hill run.
While albeit small steps, we think these are some fun new additions for our guests this winter. Look for more information on all the above as we get set to launch winter December 11th.
