12.21.21 – Easy Money + Jackalope
December 21, 2021
With the successful World Pro Ski Tour event in our slopes team’s rearview and given cold temperatures across Grand County, we have been able to focus our resources on Easy Money and Jackalope — the next trails to open over the next handful of days. We’ve been able to produce significant amounts of snow and now that our operators have had a chance to rest up after a photo finish for the event, we’ll begin pushing snow whales over the next few days, which means we’re close to opening both trails for the holiday season.
An added bonus: short-range forecasts look to bring several inches of snow starting early Thursday morning through Christmas. Our patrol team has begun scouting and prepping additional trails — including but not limited to Gettles Glade, Deer Trail and Jackpot — in anticipation of acceptable levels of accumulation. If we can get some help from the skies, additional terrain is also possible to open in the next week.
Our big push is now not only focusing on these trails but also getting Desperado ready for the US Ski & Snowboard Team moguls squad anticipated to arrive on the 27th. It’s going to take some hard work, but at last the weather is cooperating.
One behalf of our entire operations team, happy holidays to you and yours. We hope you can join us for some great skiing and riding out on the mountain!
