5.25.22 – Summer 2022 Opening + Trail Forecast

The burst of energy around the offices must mean one thing: Summer season is upon us. This year we’re adding Wednesdays to the mix, with lift-access available 10AM to 5PM Wednesday through Sunday. The Bluebird Bistro will be open those same days from 12PM to 9PM. The First Chair Cafe will not be open this summer.

Over at the mountain our offseason has shortened, given the amount of snow we’re now capable of making in the winter. (It gives us a little less time to work on trails).  You’ll still see snow mounds around the mountain! Plus, if you’ve been around Grand County you might’ve seen it snowing as late as last night (5/24). We will open with limited terrain while our crews continue to attack the rest of the downhill bike park trails where we’re still seeing significant snowmelt. For opening weekend, the following trails will be open:

Downhill: Beeline, Moga’s Mile and Loosey’s

Cross-Country: Vista Ridge, Nature’s Way, Sweet Nancy, Hawkeye, Pancake Breakfast, Hallett’s, Fraser Canyon (with detour) and Ike’s trail

Stay tuned to our website, email, social media and feel free to stop by Patrol at the Base Lodge for updates and a day-by-day trail report. (Reminder: All trail users are required to have a pass or ticket on their person as well as a completed waiver on file).

And as we prepare for the mountain biking season, your safety is our top priority. Remember the Mountain Biker’s Responsibility Code:
