Safety & Planning for COVID-19

While the world around us is uncertain, this is a truly transformative moment for the mountain. We have been busy preparing our protocols per county and state guidelines, and we want to be in as much contact with you as possible. Take a look at this feature section of the website frequently, sign up for our emails, book your products in advance, and when you and your family arrive at Granby Ranch make sure to download the guest mobile application, which will allow you to access Wi-Fi and serves as a health and safety measure to support our public health agencies.

MOUNTAIN ACCESS, TICKETS & PASSES

Mountain Capacity This Winter

Granby Ranch will manage on-mountain capacity through strong recommendation for advance purchase of season passes, lift tickets, ski school lessons, rentals, to-go food and other products. Walk-up window ticket sales may be eliminated on certain days where forecast skier visits or overflow from Winter Park may cause excessive congestion. Particularly in base areas, lift lines and on chairlifts, we will strictly enforce county and state guidelines for social distancing, including only allowing cohorts to load and ride together and limiting seat space on lifts to maximize physical distance.

No Restrictions for Season Pass and Lift Pack Products*

Our season pass and lift pack product holders will enjoy unlimited skiing or riding throughout the winter season. In the event we are obligated to create a lottery or other capacity restriction-type program, we will do our best to maintain unlimited skiing and riding privileges for these products.

* Midweek 3-Packs will be limited to Mon-Thurs only and blacked out December 28th to 31st.

DINING & RELATED INDOOR SERVICES

Indoor Capacities Will Be Tightly Managed

Granby Ranch has less complexity than larger operators for our on-mountain experience; however, our Base Lodge is substantially impacted by capacity restrictions. We will clearly mark capacities and enforce per guidelines. We have radically changed the procedures of many of our indoor amenities, including dining and rentals. Look for announcements on technology and space reservations that will aid us in our aim to limit congestion indoors.

Be Prepared for The Outdoors

With less indoor capacity, we also will not allow “brown-bag” or personal lunches inside this winter. Additionally, indoor gear storage will be very limited. Be prepared to get ready at your car and keep your extra gear there. Make sure you and your family layer up in preparation for extended periods of time outside.

Outdoor Restroom Facilities Will Be Available in Parking Lots

We have located several port-a-potties in parking lots, including two (2) ADA bathrooms. Each port-a-pottie will be fogged with an electrostatic sprayer every three hours during the operating day. Indoor restroom space will be limited and tightly controlled based on overall indoor capacities allowable per guidelines.

Individual Tickets

Tickets reserved online can be postponed for later in the season or canceled up to 9am MT on the day prior to arrival penalty free. Purchases become non-refundable inside one day prior to reservation (after 9am MT day prior to arrival).

Ski & Ride School Lessons

Guests can cancel private or group lessons penalty-free up to 7 days in advance of arrival or rebook for later in the season. Purchases become non-refundable inside of 7 days.

Rentals & Activities

Rentals and any other activity reserved online can be postponed for later in the season or canceled up to 9am MT on the day prior to arrival penalty free. Purchases become non-refundable inside one day prior to reservation (after 9am MT day prior to arrival).

JOIN US IN WELLNESS TO GET (AND STAY) OPEN

All guests will be required to wear a mask or face covering at the resort, while waiting in line, interacting with staff, riding, loading and unloading chairlifts and at all times indoors unless actively eating or drinking. We have developed specific protocols to also ensure physical distancing, and we ask that you stay tip-to-tail away (six feet) from other unknown parties in all areas of the resort.

All employees will be required to conduct a health screening before beginning a shift, and all employees will attend COVID-19 training and will sign a commitment prior to working their first shift that stipulates:

Employee will perform ongoing home self-assessments and not come to work when sick.

By arriving to work the employee confirms; to the best of their knowledge, they are healthy and okay to be working.

To keep our resort operating and our community safe, we urge you to share in the responsibility. Please wear your masks and physical distance. Any guest who refuses to comply with our face covering requirements or any other guidelines will be addressed directly and may be asked to leave the resort.
