Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get any discounts or extra perks with my season pass?

Yes. We are in the process of securing partnerships with other resorts while also putting together a pass holder perks program for services on mountain. Stay tuned for more information.

Can I use my season pass for night skiing?

Yes. Your season pass is valid for any and all night ski events.

Are there any blackout dates?

No. Our season pass holders enjoy unlimited skiing throughout our winter season.

Will I need to make a reservation to go skiing?

No. Our season pass holders enjoy unlimited skiing throughout our winter season. In the event we are obligated to create a lottery or other capacity restriction-type program, we will ensure that pass holders keep their unlimited skiing and riding privileges.

What happens if there is no 2020-21 ski season?

We are offering all pass holders our Worry Free Guarantee. If a person purchases a pass product for the 2020-21 season and Granby Ranch does not open, the pass will be valid for the 2021-22 season. Please note: Certain perks and ancillary benefits may not transfer from year-to-year.

What if the 2020-21 ski season is shortened by government mandate or stay at home order?

Ski resorts are naturally dependent on temperatures and snow, making a guarantee of operating days hard to do. This is doubly so during covid-19. We fully intend to operate for the full 2020-21 winter season. Thus, it is our policy that because we cannot guarantee operating days, we do not refund passes.
However, in the event of ski area closure by government mandate for a period of 20 or more days or stay at home order of 7 (or more) consecutive days, season passes will be transferred to and valid for winter 2021-22 on a pro-rated basis. Season pass credit will not be offered for other circumstances including closures related to weather, mechanical or electrical issues, snow conditions, personal injury, job loss, or natural disasters. Any benefits associated with the 2020-21 season pass may not be valid for winter 2021-22.

What is your refund policy?

Season passes are non-refundable and non-transferrable under any circumstances including, but not limited to, unplanned closures, snow conditions, weather, job loss, mechanical or electrical issues, personal injury, or natural disasters.

When/how will I receive my 2020-21 season pass?

Please stop by the ticket window on your first visit of the season to Granby Ranch.

Do I get uphill access with my season pass?

Yes. Alpine touring stamps and releases will be available closer to the winter 2020-21 season. Plan to stop by the ticket window on your first visit of the season to Granby Ranch.

Do I have to use my lift pack consecutively? Are there any blackout dates?

What is the difference between Midweek 3-Pack and 3-Day Pack?

The Midweek 3-Pack is valid only Monday-Thursday. Please note: The Midweek 3-Pack is restricted from December 28th to 31st.

Can I upgrade my 3 Day Pack to a season pass?

Yes. On your fourth visit, you can upgrade by paying $45-Junior, $80-Adult, and $60-Senior for a season pass.

When will you open?

Our anticipated opening date is Friday December 11th. We can’t wait to welcome you to our mountain.

Is there anything new or different about the mountain?

Yes. The ski resort is under new management, and already we’ve invested well over $1M in snowmaking systems, lift maintenance, digital systems, guest-facing technology, rentals equipment, and more. We’ll have a vibrant base area with small gatherings, activities, and to-go food and beverage options. And we’ll focus everyday on perfecting our snow surfaces, so you and your family have more fun and learn faster on our mountain.

Is Granby Ranch good for beginner/first timer skiers and riders?

Yes. Granby Ranch is the perfect mountain to bring beginners/first timers, as well as intermediate and advanced skiers who’d like to perfect their skills.

Is lodging available? Are there any ski in/ski out condos available?

Yes. We are in the process of securing lodging partnerships with groups in the area, with the intention of having booking available via our website. Stay tuned for more information.

Do you offer any tubing?

Not at this time. However, stay tuned for our full events and activities schedule, which will be released as we get closer to the winter season.

Is parking free at Granby Ranch?

Yes. We have two separate, free parking areas, all within walking distance of the slopes.

When should I plan to visit? Will it be busy?

Given county-mandated capacity restrictions for our indoor facilities and social distancing management strategies at our base area, we strongly advise that you plan ahead for your visit and stay tuned to our pre-arrival communications. Typically, Saturdays, the week of Christmas, President’s Day weekend and MLK Day weekend are our busiest periods. If you’d like to avoid the crowds, stop by during the week. Please know that our processes are meant to guarantee you and your family’s safety during your visit, so please have patience. We’ll do our best to ensure your vacation at our mountain is a special one.

Is wearing a helmet required at Granby Ranch?

No. However, we require helmets for all ski and ride school lessons.

Does Granby Ranch offer night skiing?

Yes. Stay tuned for dates and times.

Does Granby Ranch offer military discounts?

Yes. Stay tuned for more information regarding our Patriot Pass product for all active duty military personnel.

Are face masks required?

Yes. For all Red Zones (indoor facilities) and Yellow Zones (parking lots, base area, lift lines, chairlifts, areas of congregation outside, etc.) mask-wearing is required and strictly-enforced. You may choose to lower your mask during skiing. (On-mountain is considered our Green Zone).

How has Granby Ranch taken precautions against COVID-19?

Your families’ safety is undoubtedly your foremost priority, and we feel the same way. You will see significantly different processes for indoor amenities, including in our restaurants and rentals facilities this season. Our team and the ski resort will be adhering to CDC and state/local public health agency guidelines, and you will need to follow guidelines like mask-wearing, as well. The precautions we are taking are intended to help to keep you safe while enjoying the new Granby Ranch ski resort.

I had a reservation for the 2019/2020 season and was not able to make it due to the COVID-19 Shutdown. I received a Guaranteed Smiles Voucher. Will that be honored this season?

How do I pick up my voucher?

Stop by our ticket window with your voucher letter and an ID on your first visit to Granby Ranch.
