Join us as we take on a re-envisioning of Ski Granby Ranch.

We are a new resort and hospitality management company, but we have a way of doing business that has been forged by over forty years in the mountain resort and hospitality sectors. You will become part of an organization that is fundamentally biased towards team.

OUR ETHOS

OUR ETHOS

We look for people who share our ethos:

TEAM SUCCESS

We succeed only when the team succeeds; importantly, that success is the team’s success. We support each other with resources, constructive feedback, and positive encouragement.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

We are in a constant mode of innovating, creating, and executing, all of which is thoughtfully balanced with a foundational sense of focus and attention to detail.

EVERY MEMBER MATTERS

We recognize the value and contributions of all team members, without question. We are snowmakers who quietly go about our duties at midnight; human resources professionals who navigate the challenges of business in mountain communities; the back-of-house staff passionately dedicated to our craft. Whether you are a frontline team member or a divisional leader, we thrive under the philosophy that no role is insignificant.

PROFESSIONALISM & RESPONSIBILITY

We sit in boardrooms. We turn wrenches. We flip burgers. We believe an egalitarian culture, respect, shared passion, and a sense of community among mountain people is imperative to success.

EMPLOYEE HOUSING

Though limited, we do offer housing for full time positions through relationships we have developed with landlords and property managers in the area.  Security Deposit ($325) and Admin Fee ($75) due upon move in, rent ranges from $600-$900 and is paid via bi-weekly payroll deduction.   Due to COVID mitigation outside visitors will not be allowed this season and bi-weekly unit inspections will be conducted to ensure compliance with cleanliness and other house rules.  Email us below for more information on our housing program.

WHAT OUR EMPLOYEES ARE SAYING

“I had such a fun time my first year and learned so much I just had to come back! I absolutely love the family atmosphere. It’s a great location near so many other fun things! It’s hard to do all the things you want to—I took tons of trips! Winter Park, Berthoud Pass (one of my favorites), Copper, Arapahoe Basin, and so many more!”

Hunter – Ski School Supervisor from Joplin, MO

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for employees?

Yes. It is the policy of the company that staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

What does fully vaccinated mean?

An employee is considered fully vaccinated if they have received two doses in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

When do I have to submit my proof of vaccination?

Current active employees must provide proof of vaccination to HR by September 26, 2021. Newly hired employees must provide proof of vaccination prior to arrival at Granby Ranch.

What if I lost my vaccine card?

The CDC recommends contacting the location at which you received your vaccine, or contacting your state’s health department. All vaccinations are reported to those agencies, and individuals can request a copy of their records. The CDC also encourages everyone to take a picture of their vaccine card as a backup in case something happens to the physical version.

If I am vaccinated, do I have to wear a mask?

The company recommends mask wearing, and will follow the guidance of local public health agencies.

What if I only have my first vaccine shot?

Newly hired employees must have received both vaccine shots prior to arrival at Granby Ranch.

What are possible exemptions to this policy?

Request for exemptions to this policy may be made to human resources for the following reasons: 1) sincerely held religious belief, supported by a signed affidavit, or 2) medical reason, supported by a note from an appropriate health care professional. Human resources will decide whether or not to grant an exemption. The requests for exemption document must be signed and provided to HR prior to arrival at Granby Ranch.

If I have a recognized exemption, what does that mean?

Employees with a recognized exemption must wear a mask at all times when on Granby Ranch property and must receive weekly COVID-19 testing. Test results must be provided to HR prior to returning to work.

How do I report my weekly COVID-19 test results?

Take a photo of your test result and email to HR@granbyranch.com prior to your next shift worked.

What about employee housing?

Employees that live in shared units are required to have proof of vaccination prior to move in. Employees with recognized exemptions will be required to be assigned to a private unit.

If I have a recognized exemption, can I live with my friend who is vaccinated?

No.

If I have a recognized exemption, where do I get my weekly COVID-19 test?

We are working closely with the local public health agency on testing options. More information will follow regarding testing locations as winter draws closer.

When should I apply for a job?

I’m interested in working for Granby Ranch year-round. Do you only post seasonal jobs?

If the job you started isn’t working out for some reason, you can request to transfer departments. Apply online for the posted position you want to move to and speak with your manager. If the hiring manager wants to hire you for the new position, they will initiate the transfer paperwork. Transfers are not guaranteed, so be sure to follow through with the requirements of your current job until the transfer is finalized. You don’t want to find yourself without a job.

Is there employee housing?

Though limited, we do have employee housing through relationships we have developed with landlords and property managers in the area. Email us below for more information on our housing program. hr@granbyranch.com

When do I get paid? Where do I pick up my check?

Our pay period runs for bi-weekly, from Sunday through Saturday. It is recommended that you provide bank account information so that your checks can be directly deposited into your account. Be sure to bring enough money to live on for a few weeks. Depending on when you arrive and start working, you may not get paid for three weeks because of how our payroll cycles work. Make sure you have a little bit of a cushion until you are fully settled.

Are there places in town to buy groceries and other supplies?

Granby Ranch has a supermarket—City Market—immediately nearby the mountain.

What should I bring?

The right clothing. Be sure to ask your new manager/supervisor about dress code or recommended clothing/footwear for the job you will be doing, especially if you’re working outdoors. They can give you some great tips for layering and staying warm and dry.

Winter. Proper footwear is really important. The outdoor crews do a great job of shoveling and de-icing, but conditions constantly change. Walkways can be icy and snow-covered. Shoes or boots with good traction may help you navigate winter walkways. Be prepared for all weather conditions, as our days can start out sunny with blue skies, and be snowing quite heavily by lunch time.

Money. As stated above, depending on your timing, it could be three weeks before you receive your first paycheck. In some cases, you may not work your full hours until the season is in full swing. Give yourself a little wiggle room with your finances.

Backpack/Travel Bag. You will be transporting clothing and gear back and forth to the mountain for various reasons. It is nice to have a bag to carry your belongings or lunch.
