World Pro Ski Tour Announces 2021-22 Season Schedule

DENVER, November 24, 2021  The World Pro Ski Tour, presented by Rocket Mortgage (WPST), today announced the upcoming 2021-22 season of professional ski races. The Tour will expand to eleven races this season and includes a Rocket Mortgage Women’s Tour.

“We are so excited to launch into this season with more races at the best ski racing venues in the country,” said Jon Franklin, CEO of the World Pro Ski Tour. “We begin at Aspen Mountain, which has incredible skiing heritage as part of the original Pro Tour with Jean Claude Killy, Spider Sabich, and Billy Kidd racing down the Little Nell run, right where we’ll be; then we head to Granby Ranch, Steamboat’s Howelsen Hill, and we will finish the season at Taos Ski Valley for World Championships.”

2021-22 Schedule

December 10-12, 2021 Aspen, Colorado

December 17-19, 2021 Granby Ranch, Colorado

February 13-15, 2022 City of Steamboat – Howelsen Hill, Colorado

Dates TBA World Championships  Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico

Each stop on the WPST will host two or three separate races, where athletes will meet on the hill for a dual super slalom, single-elimination, bracket-style competition akin to drag-racing on snow. On the women’s side, expected to compete are two-time Olympians, Alice McKennis and Laurenne Ross, U.S Ski Team alum and NCAA Giant Slalom champion, Lindsey Cone, and Canadian Olympian, Anna Goodman. The men’s tour features professional ski racers including two-time Olympic gold medalist, Ted Ligety, reigning National Parallel Champion, Garret Driller and the ever-dominant, two-time WPST Overall Champion, Rob Cone.

The WPST is viewed in more than 100 million homes and can be seen in primetime on CBS Sports Network, live on Flolive.tv and via the award-winning docuseries, Life In Between Gates. The tour will open the 2021-22 season in December featuring top skiers racing side-by-side in a single elimination bracket format at top ski areas around the United States.

The detailed activities of race weekends within the tour schedule – including professional ski races for women and the 2022 World Pro Ski Tour World Championships from Taos, New Mexico – will be announced in the coming weeks.
