Take it from us!

“I thought working at a resort sounded exciting. I thoroughly enjoyed working with my coworkers. It was a very family friendly atmosphere that encouraged me to come to work every day, and even during the peak season when the mountain was heavily populated with guests, we still had the ability to maintain a friendly atmosphere. The thing that surprised me the most is how easy it is to talk to people once you get into the routine of talking and sharing information on a daily basis.

Grand County gave me the small town feel of the great outdoors, and the seasonal changes are awesome. The Bluebird Bistro at the resort serves great dishes–love the pizza!! I love skiing & snowmobiling as well as ice fishing in the winter. The summers here are filled with fly fishing, dirt biking and of course hiking the trails at the resort. As far as memories made here, there are many, but the best is meeting my now husband in Granby and calling this place home. I’ve been to most towns in Grand County and they all have fun adventures that include fishing and skiing. Loveland ski area, Winter Park and Steamboat were all fun-filled trips. The mountains are full of adventure no matter the season, and watching the seasons come and go is absolutely spectacular. The sunsets and sunrises are amazing!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply?

Please apply online by clicking one of the links above. Click on a job to read more about it. If you like what you see, apply!

Do you have an appearance policy?

Yes, grooming standards are important and our company feels that a clean, neatly groomed appearance presents a positive image. Most important is our uniform policy, which is strictly enforced. You will be issued a uniform, which you must wear at anytime you are on the job and in the presence and/or eyesight of guests. You must also wear your name tag at all times and your uniform mask. You are allowed to take this uniform home; however, you will be required to frequently wash and take care of your uniform.

When should I apply for a job?

Anytime. Generally, winter seasonal positions are posted early August and summer seasonal positions are posted early March. Don’t see a position you want? Apply with a general application!

Is there employee housing?

Though limited, we do have employee housing through relationships we have developed with landlords and property managers in the area. Email phoffert@granbyranch.com for more information on our housing program.

When do I get paid? Where do I pick up my check?

Our pay period runs biweekly, from Sunday through Saturday. It is recommended that you provide bank account information so that your checks can be directly deposited into your account. Be sure to bring enough money to live on for a few weeks. Depending on when you arrive and start working, you may not get paid for three weeks because of how our payroll cycles work. Make sure you have a little bit of a cushion until you are fully settled.

Are there places in town to buy groceries and other supplies?

Granby Ranch has a supermarket—City Market—immediately nearby the mountain. Dollar General, Ace Hardware and other shopping is available in town, with even more options in nearby Fraser and Winter Park.

What should I bring?

The right clothing. Be sure to ask your new manager/supervisor about dress code or recommended clothing/footwear for the job you will be doing, especially if you’re working outdoors. They can give you some great tips for layering and staying warm and dry. Be prepared for all weather conditions, as our days can start out sunny with blue skies, and be cold or rainy by lunch time.

Money. As stated above, depending on your timing, it could be three weeks before you receive your first paycheck. In some cases, you may not work your full hours until the season is in full swing. Give yourself a little wiggle room with your finances.

Backpack/Travel Bag. You will be transporting clothing and gear back and forth to the mountain for various reasons. It is nice to have a bag to carry your belongings or lunch.

Does Granby Ranch have a vaccination policy?

Granby Ranch does not have a vaccination policy, but will follow all Public Health Guidelines regarding COVID-19.
