Grand County School Programs

Granby Ranch is thrilled to be fully engaged with the East and West Grand School Districts to offer special access to skiing and riding and learn-to-ski/ride programs for the 2020/2021 Winter Season.

It is important for us to be active and engaged members of the community and ensure all young people (and school district staff!) within our community have the opportunity to ski and ride, regardless of their means. It is with great respect and appreciation for the teachers, staff and students within the East and West Grand School Districts that Granby Ranch can offer the following programs.

Season Passes

Granby Ranch is glad to provide specially priced season passes for the 2020/21 season to all students enrolled in the East and West Grand School Districts, as well as all full and part-time teachers and all administrative staff working within the East and West Grand School Districts.

  • Available only to verified students enrolled in K–12 grades and all full and part-time teachers and administrative staff/faculty within the East and West Grand School Districts.
  • Pass is non-refundable, non-transferable and may not be transferred to other individuals.

Release of liability must be completed here, prior to pass pickup/use, inclusive of requisite parent/guardian signature for those under the age of 18 years.

  • The administrative staff at East and West Grand School Districts will provide a complete list of all eligible participants in the GSP program and will provide ongoing notifications of changes/modifications to the list of those eligible. Pass privileges will be terminated upon any student expulsion or staff/teacher departure from the East and West Grand School District.
  • Granby Ranch will perform a weekly review and detail audit of all passes issued  against the list of eligible participants as provided by East and West Grand Districts. The passes of those individuals who are not on the eligible participant list will be immediately redlined and pass privileges terminated.
  • The GSP Restricted Pass will not be usable for the following dates/timeframes:
    • Dec. 23, 2020 through and including January 4, 2021;
    • January 16 through and including January 18, 2021
    • February 13 through and including February 21, 2021;
    • March 13 through and including March 27, 2021.

Free Fridays & Learn to Ski and Ride

Granby Ranch will provide complimentary lift tickets, ski / snowboard rentals and learn-to-ski (Level I) ski /ride instruction on Fridays throughout the 2020/21 season to all students enrolled in the East and West Grand School Districts, all full and part time teachers and all administrative staff working within the East and West Grand School Districts.

Free Fridays:
  • Beginning on Friday, December 18, 2021, however this date will not include complimentary ski/snowboard rentals and ski/ride lessons. All eligible participants will need to bring valid East and West Grand School District photo identification to Granby Ranch to receive a complimentary lift ticket for this date.
  • The program will exclude Friday, December 25, 2020 and Friday, January 1, 2021, but will be open for all Fridays through the rest of the 2020/21 winter ski season.

Physical Education Program

Granby Ranch is glad to develop a comprehensive ski and ride education program with the East & West Grand School District staff. Granby Ranch will support this program/concept with complimentary skiing / riding, complimentary ski/snowboard rentals and complimentary instruction.

  • The East and West Grand School District will be required to arrange for all transportation to and from the resort.
  • All participants will be required to execute a release of liability.
  • The program will be jointly developed with East & West Grand School District staff and will start January of 2021.
