Know Before You Go - Ski and Ride School

Welcome to Ski and Ride School! Please be sure to check your itinerary before you arrive to ensure you have booked everything you need and know where to go.

Ski & Ride School is open 8am-5pm every day.
Parking is first come first served in our main parking and Montana lots.
You may pick up your rentals and lift tickets the day prior to your lesson from 2pm-4:30pm.

What to Wear

To ensure your comfort and safety, please make sure to bring waterproof and warm layers, hand protection like gloves or mittens, and eye protection like goggles or sunglasses. These items are not available to rent and are available for purchase in our retail shop.

Wear inner layers made of warm, quick drying material like wool and synthetics. Avoid materials like cotton and denim, as they will retain water (melted snow) and make it harder to stay warm.

Snow sport specific socks and neck warmers are highly recommended.

Sunscreen is highly recommended at 8,300 feet of elevation!

Arrival Time

When rentals and/or lift tickets are needed, please arrive at least 60-90 minutes prior to the lesson start time. Allow extra time during Holidays/Peak Season dates.

Guests who do not have reservations may check availability at the front desk of ski school at least 60 minutes prior to lesson start time.

Once checked in with equipment and tickets, guests can meet at the learning area by the Pony Express carpet lift 15 minutes prior to lesson start time. For Holiday/Peak times, guests may arrive at the learning area 30 minutes prior to lesson start time.

Rental Gear

You may return rental gear to Ski & Ride School any time before 5pm. If you have more than one day of rentals, keep your equipment until the end of the last day you have purchased them for. If you received your rental gear from Ski & Ride School, please return it here. If you received your rental gear from the Rentals Shop, please return it there.

Lockers are available on a first come first served basis on the second floor of the Base Lodge. Please do not leave any personal items in ski school during your lesson.

Helmets are required for all ski school participants younger than 18, and highly recommended for everyone on snow. They are available to rent at no cost to students.

Rescheduling a Lesson

We do not offer refunds or credit for missed lessons. Please be sure to communicate ahead of time to reschedule your lesson if you are not going to be able to make it. We can only reschedule lessons within the same season as they were originally purchased.

Weather changes quickly in mountain environments. We do not offer refunds or reschedules due to weather conditions. If the weather is deemed unsafe to be outside in, we will reevaluate on a case-by-case basis.
