 Granby Ranch Announces Opening Day of the 2022/23 Winter Season  

 GRANBY, COLORADO, Dec 5, 2022 – Granby Ranch is excited to announce the opening of the 2022/2023 Winter season. We are continuing to make snow at every opportunity and will be officially open for skiing and snowboarding on December 10th.  We hope you will join us for exciting events and activities throughout town and the resort.

Resort Updates

Base Lodge Renovations: Guests will notice a fresh look in our base lodge. The Granby Ranch team has been working hard this summer renovating the Base Lodge, Blue Bird Bistro, Granby Ranch Outfitters and the Ski & Ride School. Renovations will provide a better guest flow and in-person experience.  

 RFID Ticketing and Gates: New for this year! Granby Ranch will utilize an RFID (radio frequency identification device) ticketing and gate system to provide a direct-to-chair lift experience. Guests will purchase passes and tickets, then pick up a reloadable RFID card that will then allow them to bypass the ticket window when on property. Lift tickets, lift packs and season passes can be reloaded onto the card year after year, saving the guest time and reducing waste.

Mountain Dining  

Bluebird Bistro: Open from 11:00am – 8:00pm seven days a week for lunch and dinner. 

Slopeside Dining Hall: Open from 11:00am – 3:00pm seven days a week. New this year! Breakfast will be available on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00am – 10:30am.

First Chair Café: Located on the ground floor of the Base Lodge, First Chair Café will serve specialty coffee and breakfast items. Open from 8:00am – 2:30pm seven days a week.  

 8350 Lounge: 8350 Lounge will be open for Après Ski from 3:00pm – 6:00pm every Friday and Saturday. A light food and drink menu will be offered with entertainment provided by a variety of acoustic musicians. New this year! A raw bar will be offered on Night Ski Friday evenings.  

 Rental/Retail  

 Granby Ranch Outfitters: Open 8:00am – 5:00pm, Granby Ranch Outfitters will offer ski clothing and accessories and rentals. We highly recommend reserving your equipment ahead of time online at granbyranch.com. 

 Ticket Window 
Ski and Snowboard single day tickets, lift packs, season passes, and lessons are all available online or at the ticket window in the Base Lodge from 8:00am – 5:00pm.  We highly recommend purchasing your tickets ahead of time online at granbyranch.com. 

 Ski and Ride School Services 
Group and Private lessons are available for ages 4+. New this year! Premium Private Lessons for up to four participants including lift tickets, rentals, a 6-hour customized lesson and lunch! The Ski and Ride School is on the ground floor of the Base Lodge. We highly recommend booking your lessons ahead of time online at granbyranch.com.

Special Events 

The Perfect Blend: Granby Ranch has partnered with Destination Granby for The Perfect Blend event. Complimentary coffee and reusable mug from 8:00am – 9:00am, or while supplies last, in the following locations downtown Granby.

KFFR Broadcast: KFFR Community Radio will be on-site broadcasting throughout the day with interviews, updates, and giveaways. 

Snowshoe Tours: Guests will experience the quieter side of Granby Ranch! After a scenic lift ride on the Quick Draw Express, participants will leave the ski area with our in-house naturalist. Tours will run every Saturday throughout the Winter and select evenings. Tour-only tickets are available for sale at $25. The tour package including rentals is available for $45.  

Snowga: Join us for Snowga at 8:15am and 12:00pm! Guests have the option of Rise and Shine yoga, at 8:15am, in Slopeside Dining Hall or a mountaintop on-the-snow yoga class, at noon, at Vista Ridge. Ride the lift, snowshoe, or cross country your way to the class. Both yoga sessions are complimentary for day ticket and season passholders. Single day drop-in fee of $15 for any non-lift product holders on the day of the event. 

 Après Ski: New This Year! Après ski will be held every Friday and Saturday from 3:00pm – 6:00pm throughout the winter in the 8350 Lounge. The 8350 Lounge is on the third floor of Base Lodge. Each Après ski evening will feature an acoustic musician, a limited menu and drink specials. In addition, on Night Ski Fridays, a raw bar will be offered.

The resort features nearly 1,000 feet of vertical and over 400 acres of skiable terrain for all ability levels across two mountains and 41 snowy trails. The East Mountain is perfect for beginners and intermediates and is accessed by two high speed quad chairlifts. Granby Ranch’s West Mountain appeals to the advanced skier or snowboarder, and adventures there start on the Conquest chairlift.
