Wanda is 1965 Chevy Truck that has remarkable story and, we think for Grand County, Colorado, she very much has a fitting history. We are so glad to have her here and are already having a ton of fun with her since she pulled into town. A little bit more on Wanda…

Wanda came to us from a ranch west of here and was used, throughout her entire life until now, as a true ranch truck. The rancher that had her since she was brand-new, considered Wanda as his trusted sidekick. Sadly, he is no longer with us, but we have it on good authority that the rancher not only took great care of her, but he cared for her a great deal, and she became a part of that family for certain. Upon finding out more about the proud ranching heritage and history of Grand County, that rancher’s wife was thrilled to know that she was headed our way.

You’ll see Wanda out and about the community, but mostly around the mountain this winter. While Wanda is in great shape… for gosh sake she’s a classic… she has made mention to us that a bit more sprucing up and winterizing might be in order as we all transition into the legendarily cold winters of Middle Park, Colorado. We will be seeing to her wishes and more, over time.

Wanda will be making appearances over holidays. In fact, you will want to keep an eye out as over the coming days she will be the centerpiece of some great holiday activities and programs. Above all, we hope you will welcome Wanda to our great mountain community!

Granby Ranch is located 90 miles west of Denver and three miles away from the town of Granby, Colorado. The resort features nearly 1,000 feet of vertical and over 400 acres of skiable terrain for all ability levels across two mountains and 41 snowy trails. The East Mountain is perfect for beginners and intermediates and is accessed by two high speed quad chairlifts. Granby Ranch’s West Mountain appeals to the advanced skier or snowboarder, and adventures there start on the Conquest chairlift.
