Wednesday, November 26th will be the second year in a row that Granby Ranch opens for Thanksgiving weekend. Since last winter, we’ve been working on a number of improvements to enhance the guest experience for the 25/26 season. 

One of the most noticeable additions is a new eatery and deck at the top of East Mountain! Named “The Outpost,” this snack hut and deck with picnic tables and counter space is the perfect spot to take a break from skiing or riding.  

While relaxing and refueling, guests will be able to take in expansive mountain views overlooking East Mountain, the town of Granby, and beyond. 

The food options at The Outpost include classic and elevated takes on ski resort cuisine. Guests can enjoy Granby Ranch Signature Mac and Cheese, which features cavatappi pasta in a creamy white cheddar sauce, or one of the four other specialty mac and cheese variations like lobster, bacon cheeseburger, buffalo chicken, or chili mac!   

There will also be mountain staples like chicken tenders, french fries, bavarian cream stuffed churros, and a Granby Ranch staple: funnel cake fries! An array of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be served starting at 11am.  

Food and Beverage manager Lisa Brazil said, “I am so excited for the opening of The Outpost. It’s great food, big views, and pure mountain vibes.  Ride up, grab a bite, and see why it is going to be your new favorite stop on the mountain.” 

The Outpost will be open 10am-3:30pm Thursday-Sunday, simply take the Quickdraw Lift to the top of East Mountain and turn left!
