We do not offer childcare.

Skiing

  • Level 1: This is your first time skiing
  • Level 2: You have skied before, you know how to stop using a wedge (snowplow, pizza, etc) but you’re still learning the basics.
  • Level 3: You can stop in a wedge, and are learning how to make turns. You are comfortable riding the lift.
  • Level 4: You are comfortable making turns on green trails

Snowboarding

  • Level 1: This is your first time snowboarding
  • Level 2: You have a basic understanding of your edges,and know how to stop. You’re ready to learn how to turn!
  • Level 3: You know how to make turns, but are still having some trouble with it. You are comfortable riding the lift.
  • Level 4: You are comfortable making turns on green trails.

If you’re not sure, that’s okay! We will make sure everyone goes to the level that fits them best based on experience, skill levels, and personal goals.

Yes. Up to 5 friends and family members are invited to join a half day private lesson. We strongly recommend that all participants have similar ability levels. We can make some accommodations upon request.

We strongly advise that you plan ahead for your visit.

Typically, Saturdays, the week of Christmas, President’s Day weekend and Spring Break (mid-March) are our busiest periods. If you’d like to avoid the crowds, stop by during the week or on weekends that do not fall on holidays.

Skiing
Level 1: This is your first time skiing

If you’re not sure, that’s okay! We will make sure everyone goes to the level that fits them best based on experience, skill levels, and personal goals.

Children (ages 12 and under) and Adults can come straight to the Ski & Ride School room to get their rental gear. Stop by either the day before your lesson between 1:00-3:00pm, or the morning of your lesson. Please plan to get your rental gear AT LEAST 45 minutes prior to your lesson so we can ensure you start on time.

Ski bikes with restraint devices or that are designed to fall over are permitted on the Quick Draw Express. Presently, we are studying the feasibility of ski bikes on our other lifts. Please have patience as we responsibly navigate this exciting and quickly growing sport!

It is not required, but heavily encouraged. However, we require helmets for all ski and ride school lessons as well as all users in the Downhill Bike Park.

Yes, Granby Ranch offers night skiing. Check our calendar for the scheduled night ski nights!

Please note: During night ski the only beginner skiing is serviced by the Milestone Lift. All terrain serviced by the Quick Draw Express is intermediate terrain only.

Yes. We have two separate, free parking areas, all within walking distance of the slopes. A third overflow lot on busy days is also available, featuring shuttle service.

No tubing services are offered at this time. Sledding and tubing are strictly prohibited within ski area boundaries. Please note all posted signs regarding sledding restrictions on ski area boundary markers.

Yes. There are many short-term rental units and houses available at or near the mountain from major providers.

Yes. Granby Ranch is the perfect mountain to bring beginners/first timers, as well as intermediate and advanced skiers who’d like to perfect their skills.

Please note: During night ski the only beginner skiing is serviced by the Milestone Lift. All terrain serviced by the Quick Draw Express is intermediate terrain only.

Yes! Skiers and riders this year will notice new improvements at the Slopeside Dining Hall, a new 400′ covered magic carpet lift and expanded beginner terrain.

We highly recommend you pre-book. Reservations can be made in advance for equipment rental and fittings. During peak dates equipment will be limited. Certain sizes may be unavailable for walk up customers.
