Granby Ranch Announces Opening Week Activities for the 2021/22 Season

GRANBY RANCH, COLORADO, Dec 8th, 2021 – Energized by fresh vision and supported by new ownership, we are thrilled to announce opening week activities throughout town and the resort to kick off the 2021-22 season. Please be sure to check www.granbyranch.com for real time updates to our snow report including details on terrain availability for skiing and riding on opening weekend.

Skiing and Riding at Granby Ranch open beginning Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at 9:00am:
Operating lifts and open trails will be determined later in the week – check www.granbyranch.com for updated lift and trail status.

Uphill Access
Available between hours of 7:00am – 9:00am and 4:00pm – 6:00pm on designated trails. For more information visit HERE

Mountain Dining
Bluebird Bistro: Open from 11:00am – 8:00pm seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Happy hour from 3:00pm – 5:00pm.
Slopeside: Open from 10:00am – 3:00pm seven days a week. Full stations open Friday-Sunday; grab and go items available throughout the week.
First Chair Café: Newly opening in Base Camp Lodge, serving specialty coffee, hand-rolled burritos and fresh cinnamon rolls. Open from 8:00am – 2:30pm seven days a week.
8350-Homeowner Lounge: Open to Granby Ranch Homeowners from 8:00am – 3:00pm seven days a week. Coffee, tea, and lemonade available from 8:30am – 11:30am. Light breakfast bites available from 8:30am – 10:00am.

Rental/Retail
Granby Ranch Outfitters: Located in Base Lodge and open 8:00am – 5:00pm seven days a week. Offering ski clothing and accessories, rentals, demos, and the Bode Miller collection by Revo.
We highly recommend reserving your equipment ahead of time to speed up the process of getting ski and snowboarding equipment. For more information on gear rental, click HERE.

Ticket Window
Ski and Snowboard single day tickets, lift packs, season passes, and lessons are all available in the Base Lodge from 8:00am – 5:00pm. More information on tickets and passes is available HERE.

Ski School Services
Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced group and private lessons will be offered out of Base Lodge. Reserve online HERE and save $20.

Friday, December 10th: Complimentary coffee and mug from 7:00am – 9:00am, or while supplies last, in the following locations downtown Granby:

Saturday, December 11th:
Walking in a Winter Wonderland – A guided hike with Naturalist, Katie Bode. Take a break from the slopes for a snow-filled hike through the aspens on top of a mountain. You must have an active season pass, lift pack, or lift ticket to join the class. Meet at Base Lodge at 1:00pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Complimentary cookies at Base Lodge while supplies last.

Pictures with Wanda – Please join us in welcoming a new addition to our team, Wanda, a 1965 working ranch truck. She will be decked out in holiday apparel and will be available for family photo opportunities – for more information click HERE.

Sunday, December 12th:
Snowga – Join us for Snowga at 12:00pm! Find yourself on a picturesque mountain top overlooking panoramic views of the continental divide at Granby Ranch’s yoga mountaintop class. Ride the lift, snowshoe, or cross country your way to the class, and then continue your day recreating on the mountain after. Saturday, December 18th
World Pro Ski Tour – In addition to stops at Aspen, Steamboat and Taos, for the first time ever, the WPST will be pulling into Granby Ranch for two exciting days of racing. Professional ski racers from around the world will compete on the Desperado run in a dual super slalom, single elimination, bracket-style competition akin to drag-racing on snow. The race day begins with qualifying at 10:00am and head-to-head racing begins at 1:00pm. For more information, click HERE.

Brent Rowan & Friends Holiday Concert – 7:30pm Slopeside Great Room
Join us December 18, 2021, as legendary guitarist, producer and Academy of Country Music’s Guitarist of the Year Brent Rowan visits Granby Ranch for an intimate performance with special guests, hit recording artist Linda Davis and nationally acclaimed guitarist and vocalist, Lang Scott. Sunday, December 19th
World Pro Ski Tour – Day two of the World Pro Ski Tour wraps up at Granby Ranch. The race day begins with qualifying at 10:00am and head-to-head racing begins at 1:00pm. For more information, click HERE.
